![]() Hi, I'm Father Brian and one of my ministries is hosting this web site for you. The questions you see on this site are from people just you. I hope to answer any questions you have about the priesthood! Here are some answers to questions you might have about me. After growing up in a small town in Minnesota, I headed off to the big city (Omaha) to get a Bachelors degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Creighton University. While living in Omaha, I worked at The Stephen's Center, a soup kitchen and a family emergency shelter. These were incredible experiences and I had the opportunity to meet fantastic people. After Creighton, I returned to Minnesota to attend The Saint Paul Seminary for four years. While there, I had a chance to work at an inner-city parish and catholic grade school. Since my ordination, I have worked in Marshall, New Ulm, Tracy and now Sleepy Eye. The best part of my ministry is working with our school. We are proud to be the St. Mary's Knights. (Go Knights!) Another exciting part of my ministry is leading trips to our mission parish in San Lucas, Guatemala. We fly to San Lucas twice a year to build houses, schools and to pick, sort and bag coffee to help local farmers. We also plant trees for a reforestation program. I love to travel and have had opportunities to visit Europe, the Mid East, Canada, Egypt, Guatemala and Ireland. I even did a little beach ministry in Mexico. Studying in Israel and Palestine was a thrill of a lifetime. Being able to spend time where Christ actually walked was tremendous. We had the opportunity to study at Hebrew Union in Jerusalem and walk to Bethlehem to pray. The pyramids in Egypt are breathtaking but the Sphinx is the coolest! Ireland, Canada and Mexico were trips for fun. If you work hard, you have to play hard too! If you have any questions about the priesthood please visit the Frequently Asked Questions. If you don't find your answer there, please email me your questions. Just look for the form at the bottom of the FAQ page. Enjoy your visit to Our Men In Black and thanks for visiting! |
